Signing of the Memorandum on Establishing Partnership at SPIEF-2018
From May 24 to May 26 the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum took place. This year the event was attended by a record number of participants - 17,000 guests from 143 countries. Within the framework of the business program, issues of regional economic development, digitization, innovation, environmental activities, investment attraction and other important topics were considered. Over 150 business events took place on the Forum's venues within the framework of the main program. They took place within the four thematic clusters: “Technology for Leadership,” “Harnessing Russia’s Growth Potential,” “Human Capital in the Digital Economy,” and “The Global Economy in an Era of Change.”
thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (RUS) was represented on the Forum by the CEO Mr. Mikhail Kozlov. Mr. Kozlov held a number of meetings with customers, potential partners and representatives of public authorities.
At SPIEF 2018, 593 agreements have been signed. thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (RUS) has signed a Memorandum on the establishment of partnerships and the development of long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the creation of an industrial center for the processing of non-metallic materials based on the Belogopskoye deposit (the Komi Republic) with the Ukhta Construction Materials Plant.
This agreement is an important stage not only in matters of cooperation between the parties, but also for the region as a whole. The project involves five stages of implementation, which include the construction of six lime kilns, a calcium carbonate plant and a cement plant.
Ukhta Construction Materials Plant has already signed the agreement with Swiss-based company Maerz (part of the thyssenkrupp Group) on the development of the basic engineering for the first kiln.
